On October 25th and 26th, Trombini Packaging delighted the residents of Fraiburgo (SC) with a creative exhibition featuring 18 sculptures made entirely of paper and corrugated cardboard, inspired by the theme “Fauna and Flora”.
The initiative is part of the “Transforming Art into Awareness” project, which challenged students from the Design course at UNOESC in Videira to create original pieces conveying a message of flora and fauna preservation. As a sponsor of the project, the company donated paper and corrugated cardboard sheets to create the pieces.
The event, held at the city’s Municipal Education Complex, also featured workshops on the importance of recycling for environmental protection. Trombini provided attendees with the opportunity to learn about responsible forest management.
“We are a paper packaging industry, therefore, constant care for the environment is part of our business. It is part of our daily practices to monitor the impact caused to the planet and promote actions that protect animals and native plant species. This event is the realization of an idea that will bear many fruits and will remain in the local community’s memory as a symbol of the union between sustainability and the creativity of UNOESC students,” said Daniel Volkart, Manager of Trombini’s Packaging Unit in Santa Catarina.
Visitors to the event also had the opportunity to take home one of over a thousand native seedlings, including species like Yellow Ipê, Pitanga, Araçá, Guavirova, Ingá, and Cereja do Rio Grande.
“I would like to express our deepest gratitude to Trombini, especially Manager Daniel Volkart and Daniela Carneiro, for their trust and generosity in supporting the UNOESC Design course in this inspiring cardboard sculpture competition. The commitment and dedication of the entire Trombini team were crucial in turning an idea into reality, enabling our students to explore their creativity, develop technical skills, and deliver an important message about sustainability and respect for the environment to the public. You not only provided the materials, but also shared a forward-thinking vision with us, significantly contributing to the learning and professional growth of our students,” said Adriano Santos, Coordinator of the institution’s Design course.

The initiative featured an evaluation panel consisting of representatives from Trombini and members of UNOESC, who selected eight pieces to be part of a traveling exhibition at the company’s branches. The selection criteria focused on quality, creativity, originality, and scale, highlighting the talent and effort of the students.
The event was supported by UNOESC Videira and its Design course, the Fraiburgo Commercial and Industrial Association (ACIAF), and Figueiredo Native Seedlings. The space was made available by Fraiburgo City Hall.
