Trombini is the big winner of the 5S Best Practices Award – Southern Region
Like the 5S Program, our mascot is constantly evolving. For many years, each Trombini unit had its own mascot to promote identification with the program’s concepts. However, an integration project and joint task force made it possible to create a single mascot that embodies the essence of the 5S Program while symbolizing unity across all Trombini factories.
What began as a simple sketch eventually brought Trombinito to life, a name chosen by our collaborators. Trombinito’s design incorporates elements of all the products manufactured in our units. The head is an open cardboard box, symbolizing the importance of “thinking outside the box” to develop creative solutions. The body is made from a multilayered bag, representing symmetry and balance. The base features paper coils, signifying movement and speed.
Refined through digital illustration, Trombinito’s renewal reflects an important modernization effort and the consolidation of our brand. It represents our commitment to engaging with our internal audience and maintaining a constant focus on excellence in the processes that drive the production of Trombini’s products.
5S Program
5S is a Japanese methodology used worldwide, focusing on 5 concepts, all starting with the letter S: Seiri, Seiton, Seiso, Seiketsu, Shitsuke. (*Nomenclature adapted to English: Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain). Using the 5S optimizes routine activities and improve the work environment.
