Packaging is much more than a means of storing products. It is an instrument that protects businesses and has a direct influence on the consumption habits of many people around the world.
Trombini values the high standard of all the packaging solutions we develop. Therefore, the company conducts a series of actions that aim to protect packaged products and guarantee quality throughout the entire production process.
Physical tests
They are conducted on specific equipment, which guarantees highly accurate results, evaluating the efficiency of characteristics such as resistance, tearing and traction of multilayer packaging, whether for packaging food or other materials such as cement and fertilizers.
Drop test
To check the resistance of the packaging, we also conduct a drop test, conducted with the packaging filled with the material itself or with one that is closer to the density of the original. The package is lifted to a height of 1.20 m and then released. When it falls to the ground, we analyze the physical characteristics of the packaging, observing possible breaks and leaks.
Packaging Safety Program

Have you ever stopped to think about how many processes are involved in the production of packaging, especially those that contain food? There are several factors provided for in the legislation that must be strictly respected, as well as specific demands of each customer.
In the case of manufacturing multilayer bags, considered primary packaging (which are in direct contact with the stored product), care must be taken in the production process. Therefore, Trombini has a Packaging Safety Program, which aims to ensure the safe production of packaging for the food segment.
Maintained by a multidisciplinary team in all Trombini converting plants, the program identifies the hazards involved in the packaging production process, measures contamination risks, establishes effective practices to contain and/or eliminate risks, trains those involved in the production process to apply them and monitors the results, in a detailed and frequent analysis.
The scope of Trombini’s Packaging Safety Program includes: Good Manufacturing Practices Program (GMP), the HACCP Program (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points), as well as the programs of Food Defense and Food Fraud.
Some of the practices adopted by Trombini to guarantee the safety of packaging intended for the food sector are:
- Measures to eliminate, minimize or control contamination agents, with practical actions that protect and preserve our product from the receipt of the raw material to shipping.
- Disposal of waste generated according to its classification, as well as factory cleaning routine.
- Robust and frequent preventive maintenance to prevent possible fragments generated from becoming contaminants during the production process.
- Mandatory use of specific protection for all employees working in the Multilayer Bags unit, such as caps, beard protectors, glasses, among others, to prevent contamination of packaging.
Monitoring the effectiveness of all these actions is conducted through monthly inspections, analysis of indicators and customer audits.
AIB International Recommendation
The Bag Unit in Curitiba (PR) is recommended by the AIB – American Institute of Baking, as it is in compliance with the Food Safety Prerequisite Program.
This recommendation proves that the manufacturing practices adopted meet the most stringent safety requirements for packaging that comes into contact with food ensuring safe supply for both the customer and the end consumer.
All of this is the result of Trombini commitment to offering efficient and safe paper packaging solutions with excellent quality standards.
