Brazilian social development through waste collection
Recent data from the National Movement of Recyclable Waste Collectors (MNCR) estimates that over 800,000 people engage in waste collection across Brazil. Their work plays a crucial role in ensuring the proper disposal of materials. Learn more about the projects we support that promote sustainability, as well as social and economic development.

Paz e bem cooperative and Tia Dina project
The recycling work conducted by the Paz e Bem Cooperative, located in Caxias do Sul (RS), generate income for many families in the region, significantly improving their quality of life. Inspired by this initiative, we decided to support them by facilitating the installation of eco-tents, collection points for recyclables like paper, plastic, glass, and medicine blisters.
Additionally, we donate computers and sponsor students in the Tia Dina project, which offers after-school programs for children aged 6 to 14, who are family members of the Paz e Bem cooperative. These programs focus on ecological awareness, ethics and citizenship, art and culture, and environmental education.
Bom aluno (good student) program
The Good Student Program is a tool for social advancement. Since 2019, we have been supporting and encouraging the development of talented, low-income students who demonstrate strong academic performance and dedication. The program offers them the opportunity for high-quality education, from the 7th grade through to the completion of higher education.
Connecting the future project
Through the Connecting the Future project, we aim to go beyond just photos, words, and donations. We provide IT support training for the children and grandchildren of recyclable material collectors, empowering young people to take control of their lives and careers.
APAFRAI – Fraiburgo Papermakers Association
This association, founded in 2023 by the Municipal Government of Fraiburgo, has received our support from the beginning. Today, 14 cooperatives process the recyclables collected in Fraiburgo. The materials are sorted and then sold to companies like Trombini.
The cardboard they select is sent to our Fraiburgo facility, where we produce new packaging to supply the region. This is circular economy at its finest.
