When committed and talented teams come together for a purpose, success is guaranteed. Proof of this is the recognition achieved by Trombini during the IV South-Brazilian Meeting of the 5S Program, organized by Ápice Executive Education, in Joinville (SC). The company took the first place in the large companies category in 4th edition of the 5S Best Practices Award – Southern Region.
Trombini won with the case “The 5S Program Journey at Trombini and the Current Situation with the WCM Organization Pillar within the INOVAR Program”, presented by Continuous Improvement Specialist Daniel Ayub and Production Coordinator of the Curitiba Paper unit, Everton Pires.

The 5S Program is a methodology that originated in Japan and has a direct impact on a company’s quality management, helping to make internal processes more agile, efficient, safe, and standardized. Additionally, 5S focuses on reducing waste in daily operations and fostering a healthier, more productive work environment.
The five principles of the methodology—Seiri (Sense of Use), Seiton (Sense of Organization), Seiso (Sense of Cleanliness), Seiketsu (Sense of Hygiene), and Shitsuke (Sense of Maintained Order)—have been implemented by numerous companies since the 1950s. At Trombini, the 5S Program is continuously refined in the pursuit of process improvement.
For Daniel Ayub, the evaluation process the company underwent made the achievement even more meaningful. “We were up against six other large companies, many of them multinationals. The step-by-step approach Trombini adopted in the WCM methodologies within the INOVAR Program was highly praised by the judges, who also highlighted the quality of our analysis processes and the internal monitoring and implementation tools we use. About 300 people attended our presentation, which was really exciting,” said Daniel Ayub.
Trombini’s representatives at the event were: Daniel Ayub (Industrial Consulting); Everton Eloi Pires (Curitiba Paper Unit); Allan Szewczuk Rodrigues (Curitiba Paper Unit); Bruno Moreira (Curitiba Paper Unit); Dioni Rocha (Curitiba Paper Unit); Everson Luiz Verner (Curitiba Paper Unit); Leandro Severgnini Silva (Curitiba Paper Unit); Adriano Oliveira Miranda (Curitiba Paper Unit); Ana Scheila Buyno (PO Fraiburgo); Daniela Carneiro (PO Fraiburgo); Everton Trai (Friburgo Paper Unit); Norberto Hepp (Friburgo Paper Unit).
